Large Industrial Customers Participate in Energy-Focused Summit

Attendees learn about energy-saving incentives and resources

Ensuring that large industrial customers benefit from energy-saving incentives and resources was the focus of a recent Industry Summit presented by Starkville Utilities and Tennessee Valley Authority.

“With so many industries focused on increasing productivity and managing their costs, the summit explained how they can achieve their goals with assistance from the TVA EnergyRight program,” said Edward Kemp, general manager of Starkville Utilities. “We want our large industrial customers to be aware of all the resources and tools available from their utility provider.”

Summit topics included the comprehensive services provided to industry partners such as energy studies, infrared testing, power quality monitoring and other evaluations that help organizations operate safely and efficiently.

Industrial customers also learned about a variety of EnergyRight incentives to help them save money and meet efficiency goals, including equipment and technology upgrades.

“We understand that when our industry partners are successful, our community is successful,” Kemp said. “Always doing what’s best for our customers is one of the principles of public power.”
